Shreds of Sanity

There are some times when I wish I’d brought my camera out with me instead of relying on my crappy camera phone. Don’t get me wrong. I love my Blackberry but it’s an old model and its camera ain’t too flashy.

Anyway back to my original sentiment. Yes, there are times when I wish I’d brought out my camera becaue then I would have a better photo of certain interesting finds.

For example at dinner yesterday I was chowing down happily at Bubba Gump when I noticed, almost too late as my fork was poised to deliver it’s delicious contents to my mouth, that my combo of salmon, capers and onion totally resembled… a lion! Or a baboon. I rather think it swings both ways.

Look at it. It’s got a nose, eyes and a fuzzy fringe for a mane. I tried to convince Uncle Fins that it looked like a lion but I think he only agreed with me to stop me from yapping about it and to get me to eat the damn thing already.

I should’ve taken a picture of the other sign they had. The ‘Stop Forrest Stop’ gets the waiters to stop and actually see if you need anything. But alas, ‘Run Forrest Run’ doesn’t neccessarily mean that the waiters and waitresses run at full speed around the restaurant getting their stuff done.

Quite unfortunate. Would’ve been pretty cool dinner entertainment.
